Abstracts From William Hunt's Will
[Dukes Co. Prob., 6: 14] "William Hunt of Chillmark ... Gent." made his
will, 19 March, 1760, and it was probated, 19 July, 1769. Bequests were as follows:
To "my beloved wife Sarah ... in Lieu of her Dower in my
Estate one half of my Personal Estate being in Dukes County Aforesaid or Elsewhere as also
in Lieu of her Said Dower I Give her the Use and Improvement of my Dwelling House in
Chillmark Aforesaid and The Use and Improvement of one half of all my Land or Meadow of
any Sort or kind which I Own Lying in Said Town of Chillmark at a Place Called Monamsha
and Adjoyning to my Dwelling House and also one half of The Use of one Certain Lot of Land
or wood Land of Mine Lying to the Northward of The Mill which is now Owned by Thomas
Tillton of Said Chillmark and also the Use and Improvement of One half of my Barn and Corn
house near my sd Dwelling House in Chillmark Aforesaid all These Several uses above given
unto my sd wife I Intend During The Time She Shall Continue my Widow or untill her Death
if She Continue Unmarried till death"

To grandchildren, Beriah Nickerson, Jane Nickerson and Nathaniel Nickerson,
children of deceased daughter Jane Nickerson Personal property and real
