Sergeant Samuel Washburn Will
"Samuel Washburne of Bridgwater .... (yeoman)" made his will on 13 March, 1720. Bequests were as follows:
To "my Son Samuel Washburne
no Lands having alredy by Deed of Gift given him his homested or homeliving and a Lot of
Land Lying by Josiah Washburns that being his part of my real Estate in my first Devision
that I make of it" To "the heirs of my Son Noah Washburne
deceased nothing having by a Deed of Gift alredy Given them their part or
portion of Lands & other Estate" To "my Son Nehemiah nothing
In this first devision having given him by Deed his full part of my Estate In this
Devision" To "my Son Benjamin Washburne
his heirs & assigns all that tract of Land on which he now dwelleth being about fourty
Eight Rods wide Joining at one End partly upon the great river and partly to the Lands of
mr Kieth deceasd butting upon the four Mile Line also my upland right In the meadow right
and half my right In the Cedar Swamp having by deed of Gift Given my son Nehemiah the
other half of my right In the Cedar Swamp" To "My Daughter Hannah wife of John Kieth
.... one full half of all my moveable Estate both within doors and
without" To "My Cousin Deliverance Jennings wife
to Ephraim Jennings fourty Shillings In Good bills of credit" Sons Samuel Washburn and Nehemiah Washburn
were appointed executors.

Inventory of the Moveable Estate; of Mr Samuel Washburn, of Bridgwater .... Who Deceased
march ye twenty-fourth . 1719/20" was taken by Josiah Edson, Joseph Pratt and John
Field. On 4 April, 1720, Samuel Washburn and Nehemiah Washburn,
