[p. 91] "Whereas John Kingman of Bridgwater .... being denied opportunity
of making a written Will did desire us .... to be helpfull in the disposal of his estate
.... have .... with the Consent of the heires and Legatees agreed upon the dispose of the
said Estate as followeth . for the payment of a debt of" £7 "we have set a part
ten acres of land next to the house lott and Six acres which was bought of Samuel Backard
the which Lands are nov given to the widdow and are at her dispose for the payment
of" £3 "due to the daughters".
"We have Set apart" 8 1/2 acres of "that lot which was bought of Eilillue
Brett which .... are at the daughters dispose for the payment of" 20s. more due.
"We have set apart a peece of Cloth which is Given to the Widdow as for all other
debts and Rates due at the decease of the abovesaid John Kingman and till the begining of
march 1690/1

The three Brothers have Engaged for the payment of them, and for that End we have set a
part a 52 acre lot at Salisbury Plain valued at" £9, "A Swamp lot at Cutting
Cove" £2, 10s., "A ten acre lot on the Easterly side of West Meadow" £2,
10s.
"We have ordered the housing and house lot Consisting of 20 acres to be at the
Widdows dispose during her life allowing the Eldest son the Improvement of one half of the
dwelling house till the begining of May and that at the Widdows decease the Eldest Son
shall have a double share in the said housing and house lott and the Rest to be Equally
divided among the Rest of the Children."
"We have ordered the Improvement of half Flaggey meadow lott for the Widow during her
life."
"We have set apart a third part of the movables for the Widdow amounting to"
£24, 13s.
"We have ordered for the Eldest Son in lands half of Matfield Lott the whole lot
Consisting of 44 acres that is half of the said lot being Equally divided for quantity and

"We have farther ordered for the Eldest Son in Moveables" £7, 13s., "his
whole Double share amounting to" £86, 4s.
"We have further ordered for the second Brother Henry Kingman in lands a lott of
meadow at Poore meadow" £5, 10s.; "Ten acres bought of Joseph Carey" £3,
10s.; "7 acres on the Easterly side of a Six acre lot which was bought of Samuel
Packard More 4 acres lying betweene the head of that which was Joseph Caries and that
which was bought of Elihu Brett both" £3, lost; "A single Share in the purchase
Right and the Cedar Swamp" 17 shillings, "The whole amounting to" £13, 7s.
"We have further ordered for the said Henry Kingman" £4, 25s. "in
moveables"
