Will of Robert Moulton, Sr.

The will of Robert Moulton, sr., of Salem, was proved in the court at Salem 28:9:1665. The following copy is taken from the original instrument onfile in the office of the clerk of courts in Salem, volume XI, leaf 47.

The laƒt will and teƒtsment of Robert moulton ƒenir of Salem:

I Robertt Moulton of Salem ƒenir beinge by gods hande on my ƒick bedd but of pfect memorie doe diƒpoƒe of my eƒtate as followeth: vidz: I doe ordaine my wife my whole executrx of this my laƒt will and teƒtament and I giue and bequeath to my ƒon Robert fiue pounds at my deceaƒe and to my daughr Abigaile fiue pound ƒterlinge alƒo my ƒon Samuell to inioy all my lands withing Readinge bounds buttinge on Ipƒwich riuer by eƒtimation ƒixƒcore akers more of leƒs; alƒo I giue to my daughtr Hannah twentie pounds in neate Cattle to be pd at her day of marriage alƒo I giue vnto my two yonger ƒons John and Joƒeph my now dwellinge houƒe with all the lande and meadow with all othr apurtenances thervnto belonginge after the deceasƒe of my wife they payinge as a legaƒie to my two yongr daughtrs meriam and mary to each of them twentie pounds to be pd within one yeare after they com to poƒeƒs it and in caƒe either of my ƒons John or Joƒeph ƒhould die before their mother then my will is that my ƒon samuell ƒhall inioy the pt of my houƒe and lande giuen to the ptie deceaƒed and this I leaue as my laƒt will and teƒtament witnis my hande the 5th of Septembr
