The following is a copy of the original instrument on file in the office of the clerk of courts at Salem, volume VIII, leaf 29 The lat will and tetament of Rob:Gray of Salem being ick in bodie but of pfect vnderstandinge is as followeth Impmis I giue vnto my daughtr Elizabeth Gray that peece of grounde runninge alonge by the ide of mr Endicotts and buttinge againt Thomas oliuers It: I giue vnto my on Joeph my barne and one quarter of an aker of grounde to it to be laid out for him at the dicretion of my ouereer It: to my son Robert I giue my kitchin with om groune vnto it reerving a convenyent paage for my wife into the orchard and to the well which I alo reerv to be laide out at the discretion of my ouereers It: I giue vnto my other three children Bethiah Hannah and mary my third pt of the Ketch to be oulde and equallie diuided amonge them It: I giue vnto my ervant Elizabeth Wicks:three pownds provided hee dwell with my wife to the end of the next omer It: I giue to George Hodgis a quadrant a ore tae a gunters cale and a p of Campais And for the ret of my etate what oeuer I giue and bequeathe it vnto my beloued wife Elizabeth Gray whom I make executrix of this my lat will and tetament and doe apoynt my beloued friends mr John Brown and Henry Bartholmew the overeers of this my lat will and tetament in witnes here vnto I haue et my hande the firt of the iith mo 1661 witnis |
