Richard Moore, Mayflower Passenger
Weston Deposition

In this interesting document we learn that Richard Moore is still alive in 1684, that Thomas Weston had come to Plymouth following the disaster at Wessagusset, and was  trading "thence" to Virginia and Maryland where he owned plantations. We also have Moore's deposition that his daughter was Elizabeth Conant of Marblehead.

George Ernest Bowman, MD IV,3,194+): This deposition was found by Dr. Christopher Johnston at Annapolis, in the Records of the Provincial Court of Maryland [Liber W. R. C. No. 1], and, with other data relating to the Conant and Weston families, was printed in 1896 in the New England Historical and Genealogical Register [Vol. 50, p. 203] without any comment to indicate that its most important feature, the identification of a Mayflower passenger, had been noticed by either transcriber or editor. The following copy was taken from the "Register." (1684) The Deposition of Richard Moore Senr. aged seaventy yeares or thereabouts.
