(Americana) Partly printed document signed, 1 page, Nov 6, 1810, 8"X12", land deed. Reads in part, "...I Isaac Hill of Brandon...State of Vermont for the consideration of One Hundred & Sixty dollars, received to full satisfaction of Jacon Wead Junr of Brandon...do Give, Grant, Bargain...one undivided half of a ? house & town lott...on which I now live..."

1832 The household possessions, chattels, and estates of three men, hand written in a document filed with the Chelsea, Vermont court, measuring 8" wide and close to 7 FEET long! To settle a debt of 1,534.00 (with interest!), four defendents - Moses Ordway, David Whitney, Ethan, and Lewis Whitney, were relieved of what must have been all of their collective worldly possessions. Listed are the inventories of items Sheriff Josiah White removed from their dwellings, including potash stans, 3 prs. of children's shoes, dictionaries and grammar books, emtpy snuff containers, 3 boxes of Thorpes pills, all manner of tool and beast...close to the end it says after "diligent search", Sheriff White could locate "neither the body nor the property of Moses Ordway..".

This early Vermont document, dated January 1, 1798 is a judgement against Jonathan Heath of Northfield in the County of Rockingham, New Hampshire. The judgement states that Jonathan will be committed to the "Keeper of the Gaol" in Chelsea, Orange County, Vermont until sum of $60.99 is paid. The back of the document is signed by sheriff etc.  Other names include Caledonia, Abraham Perkins of Northfield, David Dunbar, Clerk

Vermont 1787 (No Picture)

Handwritten document is brown ink on cream colored paper measuring approx. 7 1/2 x 6 1/2 inches. This document covers multiple years and the writer used the old style ‘f’ in place of ‘s’. The costs are listed as pounds, shillings and pence. It begins “The Estate of mr Daniel Bartlet Deceased to William Price” Listed are multiple items beginning with “1771 July to four yards of fine Cloath. at 25.... Sept. to my Boat 2 days at 18/.....1772 Dec to one Bufhell of Salt.....1773 to plowing .... October to feed in widow woodmans ....1774 June to 2 Bufshells of Salt.....1776 May to Rum one Galon... to one barriel of rum NE....Town tax (?) for the year 1775. One of the last entries reads ‘Gilmantown (Vermont?) June 28th 1787 Errors Excepted. The bottom of the document has two more items listed. As best as I can make out, it reads “1771 march 1st Cr ly asetelment of a Counts at tenor ....... 1776 Cr ly Stones which I agreed to give 40 galons of N England Rum for’ The misspellings are as they appear on the document. Amounts are listed in pounds/shillings/pence to the right of each item.

Vermont Civil War: Inventory of the effects of Joseph W. Martin, Co. E, 15th Regt Vermont Volunteers, died in Regt. Hospital of Typhoid Pnuemonia March 29th 1863...lists personal effects and uniform/equipment items, only part of it s shown   Note at bottom about next of kin, and asking for a signature so the items can be sent to the family.

Civil War Document: Document listing clothing camp & garrison equipage being transferred by Lt. Eugene Viele to Capt. Samuel H. Kelley, Co. B, 9th Vermont Infantry on October 21 1853 at Yorktown VA.
