(No Picture) 1739 Manuscript ARREST WARRENT signed by William Greene (1695-1758), Colonial Governor of Rhode Island from 1743-1758, to Thomas Freeborn, one of the constables of Warwick, ordering him to arrest Samuel Barton as named in a complaint by John Dickinson for an unpaid debt. (Remember Debtor's Prison!) - Signed by Greene as Justice of the Peace in Providence County "in the 13th year of his Majesties Reign" (George 2nd). -- On the back is a signed notation by Freeborn that on Aug. 8, 1739, he served this warrant.
