54 pp.,handwritten ledger book from the Taunton,Mass area.Possibly belonging to Seth Dean. Numerous accounts and monetary loans from the Taunton,Mass area.Dating from 1757 thru to the mid 1760's. Content,selling everything from molasses to shot,lumber,cloth,ect..Measures 6x8 Handwrought iron common pin holds a receipt inside (Large document when viewed at full size)

1751 Colonial Salem. Colonial document concerning Isaac Wilson of Salem in County of Essex & province of Mass. Bay in New England, sum of Ten pounds thirteen shilling to be paid by John Osbon of Salem. Dated Sept. 23rd, 1751. Signature of Isaac Wilson. Printed form filled in hand. 8X12-1/2"

EDWARD RAWSON (1615-93), Colonial Secretary of the Massachusetts Bay Colony. Autograph document, signed, 1 page, 6"X5", 1677, Boston, court order. Reads in part, "...Court held at Boston...Ansr to the petition of Bananswell (?) Bowers it is ordered that the Marshall General...levy upon the estate of the above said Bowers such fine, or fines... according to law by the Courty Court of Cambridge..."

A four page,8x14,handwritten ledger sheet from the Stillhouse,Boston,New England,1734.The Stillhouse was owned by Cornelious and Samuel Waldo.The ledger is in Cornelious's hand.Cousins,the Waldo's were prominent and wealthy businessmen in Colonial Boston.They owned and operated a Distillery of rum,coupled with a "grog" house,where many political rallies were held.Samuel went on to own over 500,000 acres in Maine,plus land in many other states.Cornelious owned numerous plots of land as well,providing funds to build the present day Worcester,MA.These four pages contain information of shipping adventures to the West Indies,with payment in beaver hatts and rum.Also are other transactions of the distillery. Names appear to include John Dabney, Fairth Waldo, Jones,  Elizabeth Hubbard, Samuel Waldo, Daniel Bell, John Lee, John Tyng, John Leach. (Large document when viewed at full size)

1811 enlistment document for James Lovering of Bellingham,MA.Appointment as Sergeant in 2nd Brigade,First Division,Mass.Militia.Verso has hand written appointment dated 1814,for Lovering to clerk of battalion. It appears to be signed by one Elias Leach. (Large document when viewed at full size)
