John Brooks, Governor of Massachusetts, General in the Revolutionary War, for many years Major General of the Massachusetts Militia. Large,10" x 16" partially printed document, as Governor, dated June 14, 1820 appointing Joseph Whiton, of Lee, Justice of the Peace.

Caleb Strong. (1745-1819). Revolutionary Patriot, Governor of Massachusetts, and First US Senator from Massachusetts. Member of Constitutional Convention. Large document 10" x 16", partially printed, signed as Governor, informing Joseph Whiton of Lee of his election as a Senator, and commanding him to Boston.
