Massachusetts Document 11

Land deed 1784 concerning the Lathrop family from Bridgwater in County of Plymouth, Mass. Signed by Simeon Lathrop, Ambrose Lathrop, David Lathrop & Abigail Lathrop. 11-3/4 x 7-1/2. Old paper tape repairs on back side which is also signed by John Cotton.

1747 deed from Worcester, Massachusetts. As indicated on the deed this land is granted under the name of George II King. Tt says in one section handwritten in ink " "in the twenty sixth year of the Reign of our Sovereign Lord(?) George the Second by the Grace of god of Great Britian, France and Ireland King defender of the Faith Signed,Sealed and Delivered in the presence of Jonas Rice, Mary Rice, Thomas Rice" The deed was made out to a man named Nathaniel Moore. Both sides of the deed are shown below. It is printed on a thick flexible linen type paper

1749 MARLBORO, MASS.DEED  EARLY LAID PAPER, MOSTLY TO DO WITH THE BIGLOW FAMILY OF SHREWSBURY,MASSACHUSETTS BAY COLONY.  Names appear to include Joseph Bigelow (Biglow), Joseph Brigham, Father Brigham, Martha, Nehemiah Good (Goot) ?

Deed of Sale from Grace Dean to William Closry (sp?) dated 1746 and received in Boston 1747. Deed is 4pg 12-1/2" x 7" and contains the usual verbiage dealing with a transaction involving property in colonial Massachusetts. Document lists the sale at 400 pounds and is signed by Grace Dean, Jeremiah Fisher, Aaron Whiting and Ezek Goldthwait as recorder of deeds in Boston.

Plymouth MA 3 page document,dated 1810,being a last will and testament of Micah Lapham of Scituate.Signed by Rochester Cotton register.Rochester was son of Josiah Cotton,clerk and registrar,plus paid missionary to the Indian tribes of Plymouth Colony.   Other names appear to include Abner Loring, Eben(ezer) Gaye ? ,

A 1777 State of Massachusetts Bay note for 60 pounds, signed by "H Gardner" as State Treasurer. It promises to pay the bearer the 60 pounds plus 6% interest in a little over 2 years. Ornate, decorative borders, and the left edge has been decoratively scalloped. Gardner's signature is very lightly pen cancelled
