Connecticut Documents 4 "To the Treasurer of the State of Connecticut" manuscript salutation at the foot of a legal size, 1 page document listing approx. 50 citizens of the town of Mansfield, by name and amount due under the abatement, for the year 1782. This document is dated 1783. Among names would appear to be Allen, Chamberlin, Hunt, Nichols, Smith, Elisha Hopkins.

(Slavery) Manuscript document signed, 1 page, Jan 26, 1803, 8"X4", New London, Connecticut, pay order from the estate of Benavan Gallup "To address Runaway Boy." Referring either to a runaway slave or an apprentice.
JONATHAN TRUMBULL (1710-85), American Statesman; the only Colonial Governor to side with Americans during Revolutionary War; George Washington referred to him as "Brother Jonathan." Manuscript document, signed by George Wyllys as Secretary of the Colony of Connecticut, 1 page, Oct 31, 1765, 8"X13", New Haven, entitled "A Debentor of The House of Assists for the Special Assembly held at Hartford on the 19th Day of Septemr 1765; and also their Sessions at New Haven on the 2nd Thursday of Octobr 1765." Listing the 11 attendees and the amounts they were paid. Signed by each of the members under their names, acknowledging payment. Includes: Ebenezer Silliman; JONATHAN TRUMBULL; ? Huntington; John Chester; Benjamin Hall; Jabez Hamlin; MATTHEW GRISWOLD; Shubert Conant; Elisha Sheldon; ELIPHALET DYER; & JABEZ HUNTINGTON. Matthew Griswold (1714-99), later served as Deputy Governor and Chief Justice (1769-84), and Governor (1784-86). Eliphalet Dyer (1721-1807), later became a member of the Continental Congress. Jabez Huntington (1719-86), served in the Revolutionary War as a Major General and Commander of the Connecticut Militia
