Josias (under 16) and daughters Suffranc and Mary--1638 He died on 14 Feb 1664 in Sudbury,
Middlesex, MA. (1343)(1344)
His will of May, 25, 1659, mentions wife Elizabeth and four of his surviving children.
Walter Haynes of Sudbury, born in England, was a linen weaver of Sutton Manderville Co,
Kilts. He came in the Ship "Confidence" from Southampton in 1638, aged 55 years,
with wife Elizabeth and sons Thomas, John, Josias, all under years and daughters Suffrance
and Mary and three servants. He was freeman May 13, 1641. He made his will May 25, 1659.
This family's name often spelled with an "i" instead of "y."
Elizabeth Haynes who marries Samuel Howe is a likely descendant of this Walter. In his

the ship Confidence, is prob. dead as he is not mentioned. "Sufferany" and Mary
(Noyes) are also alive.

Elizabeth (Palmer) HODGKINS Widow
was born in England. In sorting through the below, it would appear that she marries
William Palmer, Jr., not "Richard," as mentioned in another record, in 1634, and
he then dies some 3 years later. Several children are mentioned: Rebecca, a grandchild,
Henry and Bridgitt--Rebecca, obviously of another marriage. He refers to the latter two as
"if they be living."
